Itinerary

• Ban Pako ‘s one day trekking is a great way to
get into the country side, see the jungle, meet local people
and experience the natural beauty along Nam Ngum River.
• Pick up at your hotel at 08:00AM.
• Drive to Ban Pako for 1 hour.
• Meet the village guide at La Pako Resort.
• Depart from Ban Pako by tock-tock, a small hand-tractor.
Along the road, we pass several villages, rice fields and
temples.
• The walk starts at a Hmong minority village. The Hmong
used to live in the high mountainous area, but during the
Indochina war they were relocated to the flat areas. Continue
to Ban Somsamai boat landing and cross Nam Gnum river to Ban
Bernthene. The protected forest area is bordering the village
and stretches along the river.
• After trekking, enjoy lunch in the village or on a
bamboo raft at a fish farm the on Nam Ngum river.
• Then we take a boat ride or spend a lazy afternoon
floating down the river on an inner tube.
• We return to Ban Pako in the late afternoon and transfer
back to your hotel in Vientiane.
